Reason it through: logic, pattern, mental math, and reading with the meaning intact.
Reasoning & Comprehension games in detail
- Reframe Quest
- A scenario appears. Pick the response that is a genuine cognitive reframe, not a hollow positive or an avoidance. Trains cognitive reappraisal, perspective taking. Practice it in Stress & Anger, Anxiety Relief, Emotional Intelligence, Resilience.
- Scenario
- Read a social situation, then rank the responses: pick the best, then the second best. The top grade needs both ranked right, so it trains telling a strong response from the strongest, not just avoiding a bad one. Trains applied reasoning, tool selection. Practice it in Communication, Leadership, Conflict Resolution, Empathy.
- Alternative Uses
- 60 seconds: list uses for a common object. Original uses score more, and ranging across different kinds of use (flexibility) scores more again. Trains divergent thinking, ideational fluency, cognitive flexibility. Practice it in Creativity, Analytical Thinking.
- Mental Rotation
- Pick the rotated match for a target shape, three options are mirror-image traps. Trains mental rotation, spatial reasoning, chirality detection. Practice it in Analytical Thinking, Study Skills.
- Pattern Sequence
- What comes next? Sequence completion across shape, color, and size where each trait may step forward or alternate, so you infer the rule type, not just the next item. Trains pattern recognition, fluid intelligence, abstract reasoning. Practice it in Analytical Thinking, Study Skills.
- Tile Slide
- Slide numbered tiles into order through the empty slot. Each scramble sets a par from its difficulty, and solving near it earns an Optimal tier. Spatial planning. Trains spatial planning, constraint reasoning, working memory. Practice it in Analytical Thinking, Focus & Attention.
- Douse
- Tap a cell and its 4 neighbors to flip them. Clear the whole board; each puzzle has an exact fewest-tap solution and the score rewards getting close to it. Trains logical planning, dependency tracing, abstract reasoning. Practice it in Analytical Thinking.
- Nonogram
- Fill the grid so every row and column matches its hint runs. Each clear reveals a tiny pixel-art icon. Trains constraint reasoning, visual logic, pattern synthesis. Practice it in Analytical Thinking, Decision Making.
- Trace
- Draw one continuous path through every open cell, routing around the blocked cells, visiting the numbered waypoints in order. Trains planning, sequencing, spatial reasoning. Practice it in Reasoning, Problem Solving.
- Nova
- Place one star in every row, column, and region so that no two stars touch, planning each placement around the eclipsed cells that can never hold a star. Trains deductive logic, constraint reasoning, spatial reasoning. Practice it in Analytical Thinking, Decision Making.
- Abacus
- Slide weighted beads so every row and column hits its exact target sum. Trains numerical reasoning, constraint reasoning, planning. Practice it in Analytical Thinking, Decision Making.
- Grove
- Pitch one tent beside every tree, never touching another tent, matching the counts on each row and column. Trains deductive logic, constraint reasoning, spatial reasoning. Practice it in Analytical Thinking, Decision Making.
- Pearl
- Draw one closed loop that threads every pearl, turning at the black ones and running straight through the white. Harder boards add beacons the loop must visit and reefs it must route around. Trains planning, spatial reasoning, deductive logic. Practice it in Analytical Thinking, Decision Making.
- Reservoir
- Flood each tank to the exact count, respecting how water settles across connected regions. Trains numerical reasoning, constraint reasoning, planning. Practice it in Analytical Thinking, Decision Making.
- Clockwork
- A marble, a basket, and the pieces you are given to get from one to the other. Move them as long as you like and run them in your head as often as you like. You get one press. The marble does not come back. Trains mental simulation, forward planning, response inhibition, causal reasoning. Practice it in Adaptability, Stress & Anger.
- Alloy
- A definition, and a scatter of word-parts. Fuse the right two and they collapse into a word, and the whole family that shares those parts comes with it. Vocabulary drilled a word at a time adds. Vocabulary drilled by its parts multiplies. Trains morphological decoding, vocabulary generalisation, etymological inference, semantic composition. Practice it in Memory, Communication.
- Argo
- A short voyage told in landings. Each one costs you days, provisions or crew, and says nothing about what it changes further on. Halfway out, the earlier choices start arriving. Nothing here was hidden from you; it was simply mentioned once, by someone with no reason to repeat it. Trains sequential decision making, episodic future thinking, opportunity cost, source memory. Practice it in Adaptability, Resilience.
- Shade
- One word is hollowed out of the line, and a brief sits above it: make it certain, make it colder, make it kind without lying. Four candidates, all defensible, one exact. Nothing here is about knowing more words. It is about knowing what a word costs. Trains semantic precision, connotation discrimination, register control, verbal reasoning. Practice it in Communication, Emotional Intelligence.
- Kin
- Sixteen words hide four families of four. Find one and it locks, and then the game asks you what it is called. Grouping them is the puzzle. The name is the thing you keep. Trains superordinate abstraction, category induction, semantic search, hypothesis revision. Practice it in Communication, Memory.
- Quarry
- One word is hidden. Type anything and the only thing that comes back is how near it was in meaning. No letters, no length, no first letter. You close on it by knowing what things mean. Trains semantic gradient, associative search, lexical retrieval, hypothesis revision. Practice it in Communication, Memory.
- Gauge
- Five words, one hidden scale. Put them in order from least to most. Knowing that scalding beats hot is different knowledge from knowing what scalding means, and it is the half that makes writing precise. Trains ordinal reasoning, degree discrimination, scale inference, category membership. Practice it in Communication, Focus.
- Span
- Two words that have nothing to do with each other, and one that connects to both. Iron and grudge are bridged by bear. It is the only game here that asks you to produce a word rather than pick one. Trains lexical retrieval, remote association, polysemy awareness, divergent search. Practice it in Communication, Creativity.
